KiA after about six weeks at the front. Includes letters from France with considerable allusion to God's work (he was a keen Bible scholar) but also some details of his experiences & conditions at the front: he joined his battalion on 24th June 1915 "in a torrent of rain, loaded with pack etc. The roads were awful, & so was the odour in certain spots...
